Senior Minister: Mike Openshaw

Mike graduated from Lincoln Christian College (Lincoln, IL) with an A.B. in Christian Ministry (1980) and studied Theology & Philosophy at Lincoln Christian Seminary (1980-82). He has served pastorates for 32 years at churches in Illinois, Georgia, and California.  Mike has preached at Lighthouse for over 17 years, leading the church through a major relocation and building program in 1999-2003, during which the church more than doubled in size. His passion is preaching, teaching, and evangelism. He has been married to Andrea since 1978, and together they have 3 grown children and 2 little granddaughters and one grandson. Mike likes reading, the outdoors, and dogs, and especially reading outdoors with his dog.
  Worship Minister: David Skates

David graduated from Pepperdine University (Malibu, CA) with a B.A. in Music Theory/Composition (1971) and a Masters in Ministry (1992). He has served in Senior or Associate ministries for over 35 years at churches in Lemon Grove, Riverside, West Los Angeles, and Fullerton, CA, and was an Assistant Professor of Music at Pacific Christian College (Fullerton, CA). David began his worship ministry at Lighthouse in September 2009, planning and leading both traditional and contemporary services and worship teams.  David has been married to Nugget since 1971, and together they have 2 grown children and 2 grandchildren. David is into Western Americana and Genealogy Research.
    Youth Minister: Jonathan Gleason

Jonathan is the son of a Christian Church preacher, and graduated from San Jose Christian College (San Jose, CA), now William Jessup University (Rocklin CA) with a Bachelors Degree in Bible & Theology and Pastoral Ministry (1998-2002). Jonathan has served in ministries to youth and young adults for 10 years, including 6 years in Santa Clara, CA and 4 years in Swaziland (2005-09) before coming to Lighthouse. He has been our full-time Youth Minister since April 2009, and oversees our Middle and High School Ministries, and our midweek Children’s Program. He has been married to Dayna since 2003, and together they have 3 young boys. Jonathan enjoys spending time with his wife and children, sports, and traveling.
